When I first started tea...I have soooo been there. When I first started teaching at CCPC there was much hoopla. "what are they doing? bowing to Mecca???" Like there's something wrong with people who bow to Mecca. It was sooo ridiculous. I was very fortunate that the Reverend at the time had taken yoga in college and was a spitfire when it came to fighting the powers that be.

Now there's even a training called Yahweh Yoga which is considered Christian yoga... same thing, different name. Some Christians just get all caught up in names. But some... are extremely loving caring people.

Just like all religions. Sorry they were so ignorant :(Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05238676046863233600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356870274728467079.post-5967450929412861082009-03-18T19:19:00.000-04:002009-03-18T19:19:00.000-04:00guess I don't have to tell you this...but the fact...guess I don't have to tell you this...but the fact that more people have been killed in the name of the christian god is more than an indication of why you were 'turned down'. I'd say...call it a blessing and let them be. But then...that's just me, ya know?
Hugs, Bella Tina!
CamilleJoyZAChoicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03720848507861075166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356870274728467079.post-85138716175964207872009-03-17T21:33:00.000-04:002009-03-17T21:33:00.000-04:00I'm a Christian and if I could find a way to work...I'm a Christian and if I could find a way to work yoga into my schedule I think I would embrace it wholeheartedly.Merry MEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00462036349233154101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356870274728467079.post-12764972356336247112009-03-17T19:48:00.000-04:002009-03-17T19:48:00.000-04:00I guess they don't want you to find any inner peac...I guess they don't want you to find any inner peace unless it's THEIR inner peace.
I don't really know much about martial arts, but it seems like they are usually associated with some eastern religion. Your Shoalin temple here, your Shinto shrine there. This is not a conflict?
I did see something about "Christian yoga" somewhere. I wonder if it is to real yoga, what creationism is to actual science.
Pass the latte.McBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05106286247204413459noreply@blogger.com
